How to Register as a new ICB Student
The first step to getting started with the ICB is to register as a new ICB student. If you’re a distance learning student, you should register on the ICB student portal. You will need to:
- Create a student profile
- Complete the steps on the learner registration page

Accounting Courses
Studying our Accounting Courses is the best option for aspiring finance professionals. You’ll learn a variety of quality skills such as bookkeeping and computerised accounting. To study this course, you need Grade 10 and the ability to read, write and understand English.
Business Management Courses
If managing a business has always been your dream, our Business Management Courses are the way to go. Here you’ll gain knowledge in a wide range of fields, from marketing to HR and finance. Entry requirements include having Grade 11 and an excellent command of English.
Office Administration Courses
Keen on running any office like a pro? Then our Office Administration Courses are your best bet. This is your opportunity to learn communication, business and bookkeeping skills. To enrol, you need matric or equivalent. You also need the ability to read, write and understand English.
Where to Study ICB Courses

ICB Qualifications

ICB Exams
There are both paper and online exams available to you. Here you can put your knowledge to the test and achieve your certificate. But before you can take your seat, you need to register and prepare yourself for the big day.
How to Enter the ICB Exams
Now that you’ve chosen your course, college and paid the annual registration fee, it’s time to enter the ICB exam. You need to do this as soon as possible, as the space for paper exams are limited. Plus, the only way you’ll get your ICB PoE is after choosing an exam date: To enter the ICB exams, you need to:
- Choose the subject you would like to write
- Pick the exam venue
- Choose the next available exam date
- Add to basket and head to the checkout
- Select your payment method and submit
Once you’ve made the payment, you will get access to your PoE.
Your ICB PoE
Next up is your ICB portfolio of evidence (PoE). This is made up of your formative and summative exams. It includes all of your tests and assignments that will help you prepare for the finals. To access your digital PoE, make sure you install Google Chrome. Remember to use the ICB checklist to track your progress.
ICB Completion Deadline
With us, there are no classes. This means you can study at your own pace. But you still need to stick to the ICB completion deadline. If your PoE is not completed at least one week before the finals, you’ll be disqualified from the exam.
Keep in mind: Use the ICB timetable to keep track of important exam dates.
Pass Requirements
After reaching the highlight of your course, you need to get the ICB results that prove you are competent in the skills you’ve earned. So to pass your course, you need to meet the following pass requirements:
- 50% to pass your ICB final exams
- 60% to pass your your ICB course
How to Pass Your ICB Exam
Enrolled in a course? Entered an exam? Have access to your PoE? Check, check and check! But now it all comes down to you and the hard work you put in. Don’t stress, we’ve got some tips on how to pass your ICB course:
Start early – Before you know it, exams will be right around the corner. So make sure you start studying and complete your PoE ahead of time.
Create a study schedule – Keep track of your work when you create a study schedule. Remember to add exam dates as well as study breaks.
Make use of your learning material – Don’t leave your study material laying around. Be sure to read through them carefully to expand your knowledge.
Avoid digital distractions – Be sure to avoid digital distractions such as your phone when you study. You can always binge watch your favourite shows after your exams.
Get your tech in check – Writing your exams online? Then make sure you meet the online exam technical requirements to avoid any issues when the big day arrives.
Take note of the exam rules – Make sure you are up to speed on the exam rules. This includes both paper and online exam rules. You’ll steer clear of unwanted issues and irregularities.
