ICB Results: What do They Mean?
The ICB results are made up of your portfolio of evidence (PoE) and final exams. Your ICB PoE makes up 30% and the final exam makes up 70% of your results. Once combined, you will receive a final mark that will tell you if you are competent or not.
Minimum Pass Requirements
To pass your ICB course, you need to meet the minimum pass requirements. You will need to obtain at least:
- 50% in your final exam
- 60% to pass the subject
How to get Your ICB Results

Classroom-based Students
Studying in-person at a classroom-based college? Well then you need to head over to the college to receive your results. The ICB sends your results directly to your training provider who will make it available on the release date.
Distance Learning
There are two ways in which you can get your results as a distance learning student. Your first option is to log into the student portal and go to the reports section. Then you’ll be able to download your results. Your second option is to wait for your results to be sent to you via email.
When to get Your ICB Results
Since there are thousands of ICB students, you might be wondering when you’ll get your results. Your results for your PoE and final exams will be available at different times. Let’s explore them below:
Automarked Results for Your PoE
Your PoE is there to prepare you for your final ICB exam. Because of this, your tests and assignments in your PoE are automarked. This means your formative assessment marks are available before the release of the full final results. This will help you determine which concepts you might need to work on more.
ICB Final Exams
The release date for full results is seven weeks after the final exam date. This might seem like a long wait. But the ICB prides itself on ensuring the quality protocols are in place when marking scripts. You can also check out the ICB exam timetable where the release dates are listed.
ICB Gradebook
At the end of each test and activity, you will be able to see your results. But if you want to see all your automarked results in one place, you can head on over to the ICB gradebook. All students, as well as their training providers can access the gradebook. To view your results, you need to:
- Go to the navigation panel
- Click on Grades
Transcript of Your ICB Results
Need a transcript of your results? Well you can get your transcripts free of charge. All you need to do is contact the ICB by completing a support request. Once completed, your transcript will be emailed to you. Just make sure you’re using your current email address on the learner portal.
What to do if you Fail Your ICB Exam
Getting your ICB results should be one of the highlights of your ICB course. But if you did not pass your exam, you might feel like you have no other options. But don’t stress, here is your second chance at success. You can get a:
- Rewrite – Here you can rewrite the subject you failed. You need to reregister to write the next exam at the full price.
- Re-mark – Think your marks have not been calculated correctly? Well that’s highly unlikely. But you can request that your exam scripts are re-marked within one month.
