ICB Portfolio of Evidence
The ICB portfolio of evidence is a digital collection of tests and assignments to help you ace your ICB course. It counts 30% of your final mark (the exams make up the other 70%). What is ICB Macci?
Macci is the online platform used by ICB students. Now that the ICB portfolio of evidence is completely digital, Macci makes it easier for students to submit tests and assignments. You can use this platform to:
- Apply for your PoE
- Book your exam
- Check your test and assignment results
- Get a new certificate
ID Verification
Before you can get to work on your PoE, you have to upload a clear picture of yourself (to be used as a profile picture) as well as a picture of your ID. If this step is not completed, certain sections of your PoE will not be available. Luckily, you only have to do this ID verification process once.
PoE Completion Deadline
This is a brand new but very important addition to your ICB studies. The ICB PoE completion deadline was introduced so that there is enough time for any issues to be fixed before your exam. The due dates can be found on your ICB calendar and are personalised according to your exam timetable.
Please note: If your PoE is not complete, you will not be able to write the exam.
Checklist
To monitor your progress, each PoE has a checklist. You can find this at the top of your PoE. You’ll see that there is also a progress bar. This bar needs to be on 100% for you to be able to write your exams. If you’re writing the online exam, your portfolio will look a bit different. You’ll have an extra section to make sure you’re all systems go for the exam.
Assignments
Your PoE contains three assignments. Unlike your tests and exams, there is no time limit. But you have to complete them in one sitting. This means that once you’ve opened the assignment, you can’t logout and then log back in to finish it later. So make sure to choose a day where you’ll have enough time to finish it.
Tests
There are two tests you have to complete. These are closed-book, timed tests. So even though you’ll be writing them at home, don’t think that you’ll have enough time to cheat by looking up the answers. Your tests are also auto-marked, which means you’ll have your results as soon as you finish. No need to wait for weeks for a lecturer to mark them!
Google Chrome
In order to complete your PoE, Google Chrome needs to be your default browser. So if you don’t have it on your computer, you’ll need to install it first. This ensures that you’ll be able to work on your portfolio with ease.
