There is no simple answer so let’s explore just that and look at the registration requirements Skills Academy.

What are the Different Registration Requirements at Skills Academy?

A hand marking out a checklist for registration requirementsSkills Academy offers different types of courses. These different types of courses have different registration requirements. From professional short courses to accredited courses that requirements range from a grade 10 report to matric. 

There are a few registration requirements that are the same for all Skills Academy courses. The main requirement being you must be 16 years or older. Let’s look at what the requirements are for no matric certificate and matric certificate courses.

No Matric Certificate

Courses that don’t require a matric certificate for registration can be divided into 2 categories. Short Courses (Provider Courses) and ICB (Institute of Certified Bookkeepers). To register for any of the courses within those categories you need to be able to read and write English. No prior experience is required unless otherwise stated.

Matric Certificate

All the accredited courses require that you have a matric certificate. These are accredited by the DHET (Department of Higher Education and Training). The courses range from Educare to Marketing and at the end of this course, you receive a National certificate from the DHET.
