What are Career-focused Courses?
These are courses targeted at a job, rather than Matric. A Matric certificate is only an entry requirement to study further. Career courses focus on the skills needed for the career path you choose.

Matric Equivalent Qualifications
Matric equivalent qualifications are courses that are properly accredited and equal to a Matric certificate. A Matric certificate is equal to an NQF level 4 (National Qualifications Framework).
Only Umalusi can issue a Matric certificate, but other qualifications offer the same academic NQF level. These qualifications are examined by a different government body, like SETA or by a Professional Body. They will issue your qualification certificate.
