What Is The ICB Pass Mark?
To meet ICB pass requirements, you must get:
- 60% to pass your subject
- 50% to pass your final exam
Please note: There are no minimum requirements for your PoE. You need to ensure that it is 100% done by the completion deadline.
How Are ICB Results Calculated?
ICB results are made up of your PoE and final exam. The PoE counts 30% towards your final mark. Your finals make up 70% of your results.
How Long Do I Have To Wait To Get My Results?
The results are issued within seven weeks after the final exam. You can also check the ICB exam timetable to determine when your marks will be released.
What Happens If You Fail An ICB Exam?
If you fail your ICB exams, you can choose to rewrite or re-mark your exam.
Rewrite
You can rewrite the subject you failed without redoing a new PoE if the rewrite is in the same calendar year. Re-book your exam and pay the exam fee.
Re-mark
With a re-mark, the ICB will re-mark your exam and issue a full report on your results. Remember to apply within a month after receiving your results and pay the re-mark fee.
Are There ICB Past Exam Papers?
No, there are no ICB past exam papers. The content of your studies changes each calendar year. So you run the risk of studying incorrect information and failing your exam.
Remember: If you know anyone with exam papers, report it to ICB or your training provider.
ICB Paper Exam Rules
Avoid misconduct and complete your exam successfully by following the ICB paper exam rules.
- Get to the venue no later than 15 minutes before the exam.
- Make sure you have your proof of identity, calculator, black pen and pencil.

How Long Is The ICB Exam?
Both the paper and online exams are 3½ hours in length.
