Prepare for your final exam with ICB digital portfolios. It includes all the coursework you must complete to pass your course, teaching you valuable business and accounting skills. Your portfolio will also help you qualify for the ICB exam, which will lead to your recognised qualification. Remember – you cannot write your finals without submitting your portfolio by the due date

What Is ICB Digital Portfolio?

Your ICB digital portfolio is also known as the ICB portfolio of evidence (PoE). It counts 30% towards your final ICB results. There is a digital portfolio for each subject in your course. Here you will find all your coursework including:

  • Three assignments
  • Two tests

What Will I Find In ICB Digital Poe?

Your digital portfolio of evidence (PoE) is made up of four sections. You must complete the section in order to progress to the next:

  1. Section A
  2. Section B
  3. Section C
  4. Section D

Section A

The first section has all of your administrative activities. Here you will find the:

  • Welcome message and introduction
  • Practice questions
  • ID verification

Section B

The next section includes all of your formative assessments. There are three learning phases in your digital portfolio:

  • Learning phase 1 – Assignment 1 + Test 1
  • Learning phase 2 – Assignment 2 + Test 2
  • Learning phase 3 – Assignment 3

Section C

You will find the exam preparation in section C. The section will include different exam preparation requirements based on the exam type you choose.

Paper exams

  • You must complete the paper exam pre-check.
  • Read through and understand the paper exam preparation instructions.

Online exams 

  • Read through and understand the online exam preparation instructions and exam day information. 
  • Complete the technical systems check.
  • Complete the online exam preparation quiz.

Section D

This section is only available to students who will write the online exam. Here you will get:

  • Access the online exam room
  • A compulsory post-exam feedback activity to complete. 

Who Should Complete ICB Digital Portfolio?

All students studying ICB courses must complete a digital portfolio. This includes:

  • Classroom learners
  • Distance learning students
  • Student self-studying ICB courses

How Long Does A Portfolio Of Evidence (PoE) Take To Reach Me?

You will get access to your portfolio of evidence right after you pay your ICB annual registration fee and book your ICB exam. Since all portfolios are digital, you can get started as soon as you register with us.  

What Is The Pass Mark For Digital Portfolios?

There are no pass requirements for your digital portfolio. But you must ensure that you pass all your assignments and tests to ensure that you are fully prepared for the finals. If you fail an assignment or test, it could be that you do not fully understand the concepts. So pass your coursework, and you will soon ace your exams.

How to Complete Your Digital Portfolio?

To complete your digital portfolio, you must use the latest version of Google Chrome. This will give you easy access to your PoE. After that you need to:

  • Register on ICB Macci.
  • Complete all sections in your PoE.

How Do I Know My Portfolio Is Complete?

You can check your progress on the ICB PoE checklist. It has a helpful progress bar that indicates in percentage (%) how much you have completed in your PoE. If the bar is green and shows 100%, it means that your PoE is complete. 

What Is ICB Digital Portfolio Completion Deadline?

This is the deadline by which all ICB digital portfolios must be completed. It is one week before your final exam. You can find the completion deadline on the ICB timetable. If you do not complete your PoE by the deadline, you will not qualify for the final exams. 

When And Where Do I Submit My ICB Assignments And Tests?

All assignments and PoE must be completed online on ICB Macci. Since all portfolios are digital, you will not need to physically take your PoE to the paper exams or submit it manually. It should be completed no later than one week before your finals. 

What Is ICB Macci?

ICB Macci is the digital platform where you must complete your portfolio of evidence. Here your assignments will be auto-marked, and you can view your progress on the checklist. 

ICB Macci Registration

You will be able to access ICB Macci immediately after paying your fees and entering an online exam, But you must ensure that you register as an ICB student first. 

Macci Login

To log in to Macci, students must register with the ICB first. This includes creating a student profile and completing the learner registration page. Once complete, you will get a unique email address to access Macci as a first-time user.  

Macci Online Exam

All students who choose to write their finals online will use Macci to access the online exam room. If you fail to meet the ICB completion deadline, you will not able to access the online exam room. 

ICB Registration

To gain access to ICB Macci and your digital portfolio of evidence, use the easy-to-follow step to create a student profile and register as a student:

  • Open Google Chrome.
  • Go to the ICB website.
  • Go to the student login.
  • Click register.
  • Complete the details on the form and click register.

After you click register, this will take you to the learner registration page. You must complete the following steps to complete the process of creating an ICB student profile:

  1. Learner information
  2. Contact details
  3. Learner specifics
  4. Demographic
  5. Confirmation

ICB Student Portal

Once you have created your student profile, you can complete all your administrative activities on the student portal:

  • Register as an ICB student.
  • Book an ICB exam.
  • Update your personal information.
  • Make secure payments.
  • Print exam confirmations.

ICB Training Providers

Part of your registration and booking an exam is choosing where to study ICB courses. You must study ICB courses with a training provider since ICB is not a college. There are 500 ICB training providers to choose from in South Africa. The benefits of studying with a training provider include getting:

To pass your ICB course, you need to get at least 50% in your ICB exam and a minimum of 60% as an overall mark.

You can request a rewrite or re-mark if you fail an ICB exam: 

Rewrite

You can rewrite the exam you failed. All you need to do is:

  • Make sure you register again for the next available exam as soon as you get your results.
  • Pay the exam fees.

If it is within the academic year, you do not need to complete a new PoE for the subject.

Re-mark

When you request a re-mark, an ICB examiner will re-mark the exam you failed. They will issue a full report on how your marks were allocated. 

  • You must pay the remark fee of R1200.
  • Apply for a re-mark within a month of getting your results.
