Create Milestones For Your Goals

Your most important goal is passing your ICB course. So to help you, you must set milestones for yourself. This includes reading a chapter a day or completing an assignment a week.

Make Your Health A Priority

Take Breaks

Reward Yourself

How Do I Create SMART ICB Goals?

The best way to create goals is by using the SMART method:

  • S – Specific
  • M – Measurable
  • A – Attainable
  • R – Relevant
  • T – Time-based

Specific

Create specific goals that will give you a clear idea of how to reach them all. Use this as your guide to meet your objectives. It will be easier to take action since you know what to do.

Measurable

You need to be able to measure the success of your goals. This will help you determine how far you have come and what you need to do to continue.

Attainable

When you set goals, it has to be realistic and achievable. E.g., instead of planning to complete your portfolio of evidence (PoE) in a day, completing a chapter will be an attainable goal.

Relevant

Your study goals need to be relevant to each other. This will make your goals easier to achieve since they align with one another.

Time-based

Determine how long it will take to complete your study goals. Give yourself a clear timeline and work hard to meet them.

You have the option to rewrite the subject if you fail the exam. Ensure that you reregister for your exam within the same calendar year. If not, you will have to complete a new PoE. You also need to pay the exam fee again.
