How To Get An ICB Certificate
You will get an ICB certificate once you have completed your course and passed all your exams. Your certificate will be issued to you by the Finances and Accounting Services Sector Education and Training Authority, or FASSET.
What Type Of ICB Certificates Are There?
The kind of ICB certificate you get depends on the level of the course you studied. There are three types of ICB certificates. These include:
- National certificates
- Higher certificates
- National diplomas
National Certificate
This is where your ICB journey starts. A national certificate can also be a matric equivalent qualification. This is because both are registered at an NQF level 4.
ICB Higher Certificate
Once you have passed all the subjects in your national certificate qualification, you can move on to the ICB higher certificate. This qualification is an NQF level 5.
ICB National Diploma

What Is FASSET’s Certificate Process?
If you have passed all the subjects in your course, ICB will let FASSET know that you are ready to receive your certificate or diploma. You must pass all the modules that make up a qualification. Once FASSET approves your final results, they will give ICB permission to print your certificate on their behalf.
Please note: Since 2020, ICB has an agreement with FASSET to print their own certificates. This includes outstanding documents from 2015 onwards. So if you are waiting for a new certificate, you can ask ICB.

When Will I Receive My ICB Certificate?
It can take a few weeks to a few months to receive your ICB certificate. This is because ICB has to ensure that all your details are correct. If you are studying with a training provider, ICB will send your printed certificate to them, and they will award it to you. You might also receive it in the mail. This process can take up to eight weeks.
What About My Learnership Certificate?
