Should I Follow a Study Calendar?
Whenever you register for a distance learning course, you will receive a study calendar. The point of a study calendar is to show you how to pace out your work. But you won’t have to follow every step. However, if you register for classroom learning, you should inquire about this with your instructor.
Take it Month-by-Month
You might be studying a three year course and that can feel like a lot. But all you have to do is take things one month at a time. This means that you should take one month to concentrate on a subject before moving on to the next one.
Registration Period for Nated Courses:
February – May/June exam
August – October/November exam
The example below shows you how to plan out your Marketing Management N4 course you registered for in February. If you choose to follow this example, you will qualify to write your N4 Marketing Management exams in November.
How Long do Nated Courses Take to Complete?
Nated courses all have an estimated duration of three years. This means that you will have 12 months to complete each course. In your 12 months you will complete your average of two assignments, one test and a final exam.

What is a N6 Qualification?
Understanding NATED terminology can be really confusing and can be a reason why you choose to study a provider programme. But fear not, it’s not as difficult as you may think. National Diplomas are made up of three levels:
- Level 1 – N4
- Level 2 – N5
- Level 3 – N6
You have to complete each level successfully in order to achieve your national diploma. So whenever you see N4 or N5 or N6 in front of your qualification, just know that is the different level for the course.
