2020 has been a year that will be talked about for years to come. Like many things, the academic year took a turn and had many uncertainties. Get some peace of mind by knowing the 2021 Starting Dates for South African Schools.
When Will Learners Return to School?
The 2021 school year was set to start on 27 January. However due to the second wave of Covid-19, the school year has been postponed. Classes are to commence on 15 February, 2021, giving you enough time to prepare.
2021 School Starting Date for Teachers
Although the school year will start later in 2021, teachers will still return to schools earlier than learners. If you are a teacher, you can look forward to being back in your classroom by January 25, 2021.
Starting Dates for Universities and Colleges
With matric results being released later in 2021, there isn’t a clear date to when universities and colleges will reopen. To give students more time to complete their qualifications, some universities have decided to carry their academic year over into 2021.
If you have any questions about your starting date for college or university, it would be best to contact them directly.
Colleges That are Open Now
You might not want to wait a couple of months to update your skills. Luckily, there are colleges that are open all year round. Our students here at Skills Academy continued their studies throughout the pandemic. This is because they study via distance learning.
If you are interested in starting your studies immediately then distance learning is the way to go. You never have to worry about anything stopping you from starting or completing your course. Get started whenever you are ready.
