What you need to know
Entrance Requirements
You don’t have to worry about having a matric certificate. All subjects being taught in English, therefore all you will need is to be able to read and write in English.
Accreditation
This course is a provider programme which means that you won’t receive a certificate from an accredited body, however you will get an award issued to you by Skills Academy.
Assessment Structure
In this course you won’t have any exams. You will only have a Portfolio Of Evidence (POE). Your POE will be made up of two or more assignments and subject tests. To pass this course you will need to achieve a minimum of 50% on all your assessments.

Build and Close the Sale | Learn how to keep current on advertising and promotions, use great sales techniques, recognise buying signals and motivate the sale to your customers. |
Preventing Loss | Want to know more about monitoring your stock levels and how to prevent theft? This subject teaches you what to do in the case of theft and also how to prevent and identify fraud within your business. |
Stocking the Shelves | This subject teaches you the basics of monitoring inventory, how to get ready to sell, how to place products in the store, handling returned merchandise and returning stock to vendors. It also teaches you how to do stock take. |
Quality Management | Learn the fundamentals of quality management, how to understand current performance and orient your customers. This will help you identify possible causes of problems, how to prepare for change, and how to implement quality changes. |
Strategic Decision Making | This subject teaches you how to prepare for decision making, the different options you can take and how to assess the results of your decisions. You will also learn how to negotiate and make decisions within a group. |
