What you need to know
Entrance Requirements
You don’t have to worry about having a matric certificate because all you need to enter this course is to be able to read and write English. That’s right, with all subjects being taught in English all you will need is to be able to read and write in English.
Accreditation
This course is a provider programme which means that you won’t receive a certificate from an accredited body, however you will get an award issued to you by Skills Academy.
Assessment Structure
In this course you won’t have any exams. You will only have a Portfolio Of Evidence (POE). Your POE will be made up of two or more assignments and subject tests. To pass this course you will need to achieve a minimum of 50% on all your assessments.

Customer Relationship Management (CRM) | This subject teaches you about customer loyalty, CRM basics, preparing and implementing CRM and how to use e-CRMA. |
Build and Close the Sale | Learn how to keep up with current advertising and promotions, and use great sales techniques. You will soon recognise buying signals and be able to motivate your customers to make a sale. |
Preventing Loss | Learn how to monitor your stock levels and prevent theft, what to do in the case of theft and also how to prevent and identify fraud within your business. |
Stocking the Shelves | This subject teaches you the basics of monitoring inventory, how to get ready to sell, how to place products in the store, handling returned merchandise and returning stock to vendors. It also teaches you how to do stock take. |
Study Upgrade
Once you have completed the Retail Management short course and the Retail Management Certificate Course, you can then move to the Retail Management Comprehensive Course.
