Entrance Requirements
To apply for this course, you need to have a grade 12 certificate (standard 10) or equivalent. If you don’t meet the requirements, you can consider the following alternative pathways.
- Adult Matric
- ICB Financial Accounting Programme (Grade 10/Standard 8)
- ICB Public Sector Accounting Programme (Grade 11/Standard 9)
- ICB Business Management Programme (Grade 11/Standard 9)
- ICB Entrepreneurship Programme (Grade 11/Standard 9)
You may apply for this programme after you’ve finished any of the above.
Accreditation
Skills Academy in partnership with the ICB (Institute of Certified Bookkeepers) offers the Junior Office Administration: ICB National Certificate. This course is accredited by the QCTO (Quality Council For Trades & Occupations).
Assessment Structure
You will be assessed on the strength of your Portfolio of Evidence (PoE) and your final examination. Your PoE includes three assignments and two tests that you need to hand in with your final examination. All your work will be marked together.
Your PoE counts 30% towards your final mark, and your examination 70%
