What is Saiosh?

Saiosh (South African Institute of Occupational Safety and Health) is a non-profit organisation that was created to improve the standards of OHS profession. They do this by proving OHS practitioners training, guidance and support from other key professionals in the OHS industry. 

Saiosh was founded on February 11, 2020 by a group of health and safety professionals. The organisation was recognised by SAQA (South African Qualifications Authority) to register OHS professionals in South Africa. 

Today, Saiosh is recognised as the largest professional body for OHS practitioners. They strive to provide OHS professionals with information that will benefit their careers, as well as networking opportunities.

How to become a Saoish Member

If you’re intrigued by the benefits of Saoish, and would like to find out how to register to become a member then look no further. Here’s how. You can start by visiting the website to apply. After completing the registration form you will receive a confirmation email. Your application will then be assessed by the Saiosh Registration Board within 5 working days. They will then send you an invoice to tell you the membership level you qualify for. You may then pay your membership fee and send it to [email protected] – make sure you enter the correct invoice number. Membership renewals are payable on 28 February each year. You will get a new membership certificate each year once you’ve paid for membership renewal.
