What do receptionists do?

Receptionists are usually seated at the entrance of an office. This makes them the first point of communication for both clients and employees. They greet and welcome visitors, and they can also give or deny access to certain individuals. Receptionists are also responsible for answering phone calls, and often also respond to face-to-face queries of walk-in clients. They may even take on more responsibilities if they work for a smaller company. Receptionists can find employment in many different industries and can find work at hotels, gyms, and medical offices.
