By the end of this module, you should know about risk transfers in a business and its principles. You will be able to explain risk transfer, insurance limits and risk retention.

After completion, you will know what the guidelines are in transferring a risk in a business. This course will teach you about ethics in business, legislation, codes and regulations. You will know  how to apply and evaluate a business’ ethical code and develop strategies to ensure everyone complies with the code of conduct. 

This module will help you build knowledge on economic principles, indicators, government policies in investments, fundamentals of economics and how to apply them.

At the end of this module, you should understand the effects emotions have on decisions made regarding finances and wealth. An investor’s behavior has an impact on the finances and decisions in a company. You will know how to explain these behaviours using behavioral economics and how it helps you understand market behaviours. This module teaches you how different finance services respond to the behaviors as well. 

You will also be able to explain financial services environment risks, global economic issues, group investors profile, and how to make decisions considering risks involved.

In this module, you will gain knowledge on financial trend indicators, its relationship with the macro environment and how to predict the implications of trends on risks. You will also know how to apply these trends to various scenarios. 

This module will teach you about asset classes and their role in the investment plan. After completion, you will know about the effects of the investment environment and market conditions on asset classes. You will also have knowledge of client risk profiles. 

After completion, you should be able to conduct a financial risk assessment and information search, setting up a thorough research report.

An individual’s decision made on wealth changes constantly as time goes on. In this module, you will learn how to analyse the needs and wants of an individual at the various stages in their life. 

You will learn how these stages affect their spending and saving and how spending, saving and events affects their financial plan. After completion, you will have insight on financial services in SA. This includes changes to the regulatory, professional, consumer and business environment

By the end of this module, you should understand the relationships in broad financial services environments. You should have thinking techniques to compile a variety of scenarios for your clients. You should be able to ensure these scenarios are appropriate, within context and know the risk involved.

You will know more about tax, and its implication on wealth management, current tax positions and scenarios, and how to optimise tax of a wealth management portfolio. 

After completion, you should know how to get and analyse information concerning risks. You should be able to determine and propose financial solutions and compare it against financial aspects.

At the end of this module, you should be able to help an individual plan for their retirement. This includes its legislation and using the needs of an individual to plan a financial strategy. You should know how to create tailor-made portfolios for specific clients.

After completion, you should be able to help clients in unplanned circumstances by suggesting changes to their current retirement plan. You will also know about estate planning, such as setting up a will and financial solutions for low cost estate duty and liquidity of an estate. 

In this module, you will learn how to research current events in different industries that may influence benefits and analyse a business to determine risks and needs. This module will teach you how to use information to come up with benefit structures and financial solutions.

This module will teach you all about medical schemes in relation to insurance and its principles. After completion, you should be able to identify the needs of the client using various information, to help them get the best product, medical scheme and benefits. You will learn how current situations and events could impact these benefits. 

Current events can influence your business, decisions and clients. At the end of this module, you should have knowledge of these current events in specific sectors. You should know the terminology and methods of communication used. This includes developing arguments to provide your point of view on issues using your knowledge and skills. 

 

After completion, you will have knowledge on structured long term insurance portfolios. This includes how they are managed, constructed, its suitability to clients needs and its performance compared to competitors.

At the end of this module, you should know about health economics in health care, like theory roles, principles and in decision-making. You will also know how health economics are impacted by the regulatory environment. 

This module will help you gain insight on Pharmaco-economics and its tools, methods, programme, principles and funding decisions. 

After completion, you will have knowledge on media outlets and how they influence the financial sector, financial indicator changes and corporate governance and ethics issues. 

As we learnt before, current events can influence the financial sector. By the end of this module, you should know the extent of this and the impact of opinions in this industry.
