Stress management is the strategies, processes and techniques that are designed to assist with the relief of stress. This can be anything from meditation, breathing exercises and eating healthy. The aim of this module is to provide students with an understanding of what stress is and how it affects mental health. You will also learn about strategies for coping with stress, how to employ mindfulness by using meditation techniques and explore how to attain and maintain emotional maturity. 


Once you have completed this module, you should be able to define stress and discuss the factors that contribute towards it, be able to identify the stress in your own life and explain how to reduce stress through various techniques. In addition to this, you should also be able to identify methods to improve your relationship with yourself and others, as well as ways to enhance your emotional well-being.
