What you need to know

Entrance Requirements

Those who never finished or went to high school now have a chance to further their education with Skills Academy. There are no educational requirements for this course. All you need is a basic understanding of the English language. Having this will help you understand your coursework and help you pass.

Accreditation

This is a non-accredited course. These courses still have value as they help students who never finished school a chance to get industry related and skills to enter the workplace. After completion, Skills Academy will award you with a certificate of completion.

Assessment Structure

There are no exams scheduled for this course. You only need to finish assignments, PoE’s (Portfolio of Evidence) and write subject tests. A mark of 50% is required for each assessment in order to pass a subject. You can improve your mark if you fail to get more than 50%. All you have to do is reapply to do that assignment - no extra costs are involved.

Subject Outcomes

Want to know what your life as a student will look like? Here’s a breakdown of the subjects you will do: 

Subject Description
Introduction to Business English Learn about the different ways to communicate. This subject aims to improve your reading, writing and speaking skills. Introduction to Business English teaches you about professionalism and how to write emails, business letters and more.
Core Learn more about networking fundamentals. After completion you will understand Network Infrastructures, Network Hardware Protocols and Services. What you will learn here is the building blocks of modern network design.

Study Upgrade

Continue your studies with our other courses. You can look at other Computer and IT Courses to complete and add to your resume.

What is not included in the fees?

We do not include writing materials or envelopes for you to send your assignments to us.

However, you can upload your assignments here through our Learner Portal, and cut out the price of envelopes out as well!
