What you need to know

Entrance Requirements

With our open entry policy, you don’t need matric or any other qualification to do this course. Due to the subjects in this course being taught in English, all you need is to be able to read and write in English.

Accreditation

This course is a provider programme which means that you won’t receive a certificate from an accredited body, however you will get an award issued to you by Skills Academy.

Assessment Structure

In this course you won’t have any exams. You will only have a Portfolio Of Evidence (POE). Your POE will be made up of two or more assignments and subject tests. To pass this course you will need to achieve a minimum of 50% on all your assessments.

Subject Outcomes

Would you like to know what you will learn with this introduction to being a Financial Manager. Below you will find a detailed breakdown on each subject that you will be doing in this course. 

Subject Description
Introduction to Business English This subject will teach you how to communicate by using business language. You will learn speaking, writing, and reading skills. Along with great business communication skills, you will get an understanding of business meetings and presentations.
Organisational Communication With this subject you will learn about the basics of communication. This contributes to factors such as leadership and motivation. You will learn about this in the context of a working environment.
Financial Management: Basic This subject aims to teach you basic level knowledge about accounting. You will focus on factors such as income statement, balance sheet and other financial documents.

Study Upgrade

Once you complete this course you can move onto the Financial Management Certificate Course and the Financial Management Comprehensive Course.

What is not included in the fees?

We do not include writing materials or envelopes for you to send your assignments to us.

However, you can upload your assignments here through our Learner Portal, and cut out the price of envelopes out as well!
