Before you start to apply make-up to the face there is a lot you need to know. We start with module with a look at the anatomy of the face; the facial bones, shapes and muscles. You will then learn what tools you need to apply make-up, and how to care for those tools.  It then discusses use of colour, foundation, concealer and how to contour a face with make-up. The subject contains the following chapters:

You will now learn how to apply make-up to the eyes and lips, as well as what make-up is appropriate for clients of different ages. You will then look at make-up for special occasions such as weddings and black tie events and then look at different styles of make-up that you can start to experiment with, as you get confident in this subject.

This subject will give you a better understanding of skin before you move on to discussing facials in the following subject.

In this subject we discuss preparing the treatment area, consulting with the client and then how to do various facials. After care advice is also important in any treatment!

The client consultation is the most important element to get right for any beautician, so we once again discuss the lash and brow consultation. We also discuss brow services, lash services and lash and brow tinting.

We start with the history of nail care and more detailed anatomy of the hand and foot. Then we outline what tools and equipment we need before learning how to conduct both a manicure and a pedicure.
