Matric Subjects we Offer
Whether you’re studying our Matric Upgrade or Adult Matric Course, there are a range of subjects available to you. You can choose up to six subjects when you study with us. This includes three compulsory and three elective subjects.
Compulsory Subjects
When choosing compulsory subjects, you need to choose one Home Language, First Additional Language and Maths subject. These are:

The elective subjects we offer are split into three clusters. To get the best results, choose subjects within the same cluster.
Do we Offer Life Orientation?
If you’re hoping to study Life Orientation (LO), we have some bad news. We do not offer Life Orientation as a subject due to its practical component. Since your matric results are made up of your final matric exam, you do not have a School-Based Assessment (SBA) with us.
Can I Choose new Subjects?
Yes you can. However, if you studied subjects we do not offer, you need to choose new ones. Don’t stress, this is not an obstacle. With new subjects comes new opportunities.

Match Your Subject to the Course you Want to Study
If you want to study accounting or business management, choose subjects within this cluster. When you get to college, you’ll be able to understand the basic concepts in your course. This is a great starting point if you wish to study further.
Consider the Career you Want to Pursue
Even if you do not want to study further, you still need to consider your career. Take a look at the job you want and match it to your subjects. The knowledge you gain will allow you to have a better understanding of your duties.
