A junior accountant provides financial information by maintaining and reconciling accounts; preparing reports. Duties of a junior accountant include maintaining financial records for subsidiary companies by analysing balance sheets and general ledger accounts, reconciling general and subsidiary bank accounts by gathering and balancing information, providing financial status information by preparing special reports, completing special projects, corrects errors by posting adjusting journal entries, and maintaining general ledger accounts.
