Can I Request a Re-mark for my ICB Exam?

Yes, you most definitely can. Moderators and examiners mark and calculate the ICB exams thoroughly. Yet it is within your right as a student to query your results when you feel like your marks aren’t correct.

To request a re-mark, you need to:

  • Apply within a month after getting your exam results
  • Pay the re-mark fee of R1350

How Long Does it Take to Re-mark my Exam?

Your re-mark will take around 28 days. To ensure that your exam marks are calculated correctly, examiners and moderators need to look closely at your exam and your ICB Portfolio of Evidence (PoE). When your exam and PoE are being assessed, don’t be hasty. Even if it takes time, it will be in your best interest.

The ICB’s Decision is Final

If you aren’t happy with your ICB Course results, unfortunately there is nothing you can do. The examiners and moderators decision is final. This means you cannot query it again. Not even your course provider will address the query after the re-mark.

The ICB pass mark is 60% for each subject. This means you need to score at least 60% in your combined assessments and final exam to pass. If you achieve this score, you will receive your results and progress toward your qualification.
