A data capturer is someone who literally captures data. Whether you run a software program to pull information from online sales agreements or physically read documents to find relevant information for your company, your role is to get information. You can work in a diverse range of industries and serve anyone from the marketing department to a sales team. A data capturers duties include preparing, compiling and sorting documents for data entry, checking source documents for accuracy, verifying data and correcting data where necessary, obtaining further information for incomplete documents, updating data and delete unnecessary files and combining and rearrange data from source documents where required.
