Advertising executives handle all aspects of advertising including marketing, research, and sales. Advertising Executives either work for an advertising agency and are hired out to various companies on a contract basis or they may work on-staff for a large company. The duties of an advertising executive include overseeing all the components of a marketing campaign, including product development and promotion, and client relationship maintenance. The skills needed for this career are the ability to meet deadlines and organize details, delegating assignments and keeping team members motivated and focused, as well as exceptional time management and public relation skills.
