Matric 2021 May/June Exams Scrapped
Minister of Basic Education, Angie Motshekga, announced that the matric mid-year exams will be scrapped. She made the announcement on Tuesday June 02, 2021 during a Portfolio committee meeting.
What Will Happen Now?
With the impact that Covid-19 had on the matric curriculum, matriculants don’t have any time to waste. With the May/June exams being cancelled, students and teachers have more time to focus on getting prepared for the end of year exams. You can also expect to have classes at full capacity by the beginning of the third term in July.
How Will This Impact the 2021 Third Term?
The minister of Basic Education has reassured students that this is all for their own good. So you shouldn’t worry about not completing your matric year.
